SUBSCRIBES TO POINTLOGIC’S COMMUNICATIONS
PLANNING TOOL – COMPOSE
 

New York, January 14, 2009 – Katz Marketing Solutions, the new marketing division of the Katz Media Group, today announced that it adopted the Compose channel planning platform to assist media and planning agencies in their efforts to maximize client media spending dollars.

Compose, a planning tool developed by PointLogic and WPP’s KMR Group, will allow Katz Marketing Solutions to work hand-in-hand with senior agency communication planning executives to develop consumer-focused media plans that mirror the advertiser’s communication goals.

Compose will not only enable us to gain better insight and understanding into the channel planning process, but will also enable us to earn a voice at key agency planning levels to discuss how radio complements their channel planning goals.”

Recognizing the need for immediate expertise and credibility with this project, Katz Marketing Solutions also announced the addition of Andrea de Cordova to lead this effort. She joined Katz Marketing Solutions from KMR Group, where she held the position of U.S. director of planning and sales. Prior to that, she managed planning and pricing at both NBC and Fox Cable Networks. “Andrea has worked closely with agency planning departments for years,” McCurdy added. “Her knowledge of media and her planning expertise is well respected throughout agency planning circles.”

Compose will be a primary component of the planning process employed by Katz Marketing Solutions, a new division created to generate new revenue streams and develop customized campaigns for national advertisers on behalf of thousands of client radio stations across the country. Katz Marketing Solutions will be responsible for leading the company’s creative charge while working in close cooperation with large national advertisers and agencies to develop customized solutions across multiple audio- and web-based platforms.

Compose enables marketers to develop and quantify content for multiplatform marketing opportunities on an advertiser-by-advertiser basis to achieve and satisfy agency marketing goals. In addition, Compose provides sales teams the ability to develop and compare a variety of media mix scenarios that allow advertisers to more effectively communicate and execute. Compose has been adopted in the U.S. and Britain by media agencies such as PHD, Universal McCann, Mediaedge:cia, Mindshare, Ogilvy and Draft FCB, among many others.
